It was lovely to meet thge group yesterday and to discuss what we think we're looking for in trhe books. I'm getting into 'Umbrella' and the writing is clever, funny and evocative but it does need to be taken in small bites, I think - partly because it has no natural beaks itself! I think it gets more interesting when you get into Audrey's head. But it comes to something when 'Bring up the Bodies' is light relief!
A word about my embarassing pseudonym: : SWALK is the Stratford, Warwick, Leamington and Kenilworth Oxfam fundraising group! I have to use it for my posts because it's a gmail account and gmail won't let me have another one. Just in case you thought I was being over-familiar.....
