Literati Glitterati

Ellen and I attended the Shortlist party in Holland Park, London.  Gosh!  What a lot of people, champagne flowed along with much conversation, it was a very, talkative, excited crowd.  We spotted a table with lots of books piled up.  I counted the different titles - there were Six!
We collected a Shortlist bookmark each, now I wish I had collected more- one for each of you, sorry!
I saw Deborah Levy, then Alison Moore, both in deep conversation with others in the distance.  A couple of authors couldn't make it, but most were there.  Actor Alan Stephens was one of the Judges.  Also seen were Michael Frayn and Claire Tomalin.  The food was great too.  I am really looking forward to reading 'The Garden of Evening Mists', The Lighthouse and ... Well, all of them!

I look forward to meeting you at Southam Library this evening.

  1. Nicole-you sound like you had fun! So pleased you did, and thanks for telling us all about it. Glad they're supplying food this time-- hardly any when we went in 2010!
