Wading through Will Self
Wading through Will Self . . . these experimental tomes are going to be much more challenging than 2010 - with the exception of Peter Carey! Still, it's a little like learning to read all over again. Speaking personally, and as a 'conventional' writer, it takes me some time until I 'get it'. Once in the groove it's OK. Just 4 grooves to go :-)

Hi Paul--perhaps a spot of speed reading will help!? I managed three pages yesterday, -you're doing better than me! As you say, it's a case of getting in the groove, man!
ReplyDeleteWell...I've just checked this book out to myself! I'm going to give it a go, what the heck. If you find me running barefoot down the middle of Nuneaton High Street yammering about ape men, you'll know it didn't work out...
