Back from Holiday

I'm just back from a walking holiday in Portugal but did manage to read Narcopolis and Swimming Home. I didn't find Narcopolis an ideal 'holiday read' as I got a bit lost following the detail and different characters.However thinking about it since I realise it has left me with a very rich and fascinating impression of a particular place and time. I liked Swimming Home but think I would probably get more out of it if I had time to read it again - which I haven't at the moment!!
